Prince Caspian fails to make an impression

| 5/17/2008

The future of the Chronicles of Narnia movie series is in serious doubt after a poor performance on Prince Caspian's opening weekend.

Yesterday Prince Caspian only managed to take $18million at the box office, putting it's opening weekend forecast at $51million.

Compare that to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe's opening weekend of over $65million and you have a movie franchise in real trouble!

The follow up movie VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER has already been green-lit, but producer Mark Johnson made it clear at the New York Comic-Con that the future of the series rests on these two films.
