I include the question mark in the title for good reason, there is apparently an early review online for the script to upcoming X-MEN prequel - X-MEN ORIGINS: MAGNETO.

I include the question mark (and use the word APPARENTLY) because while the idea, and the premis put forward by this 'review' are both entirey feasible and fantastic, they also don't break any new ground.

I don't mean by that statement that this film should re-write the X-MEN mythos (although one 'review' in particular suggests that that's exactly what this script does) but the story is very much what everybody expected. It doesn't cover any part of Magneto's (AKA Eric Lensherr's) backstory than what has already been anticipated by the upcoming prequel.

Nevertheless, the story it self holds up well, taking us from the concentration camps of Auschwitz, onto Eric's attempts at a normal life in a Ukranian village and onto his quest of bitter vengence, the story paints a vivid picture of how the man became the villain we all know and love from the comics and the film.

I must admit that this project excited much more than the upcoming WOLVERINE story. Even though Wolverine is one hell of a character, it was Magneto's story that I really wanted to see up on the screen, and judging by these stories, I will still be given that chance.
